Do Iranian people tend to party alot?

My GF comes from an Iranian Jewish background and she and her family tends to host parties or go to parties sometimes to often. I was wondering if it's true for other (but not all) Iranian people. If it's true, why do they tend to do that? I've been wondering on this for some time now.
